For the given condition potential energy of the two masses will convert into heat and temperature of water will increase $W = J Q \Rightarrow 2 m \times g \times h = J (m_{w} S Δ t) \Rightarrow 2 \times 5 \times 10 \times 10 = 4.2 (2 \times 10^{3} \times Δ t)$

$∴ Δ t = \frac{1000}{8.4 \times 10^{3}} = {0.119}^{\circ} = {0.12}^{\circ} C$
