The ohm's law is stated as:
V=IR.
According to this, the slope of the V_I graph is the resistance. The greater the slope of the graph, greater will be its resistance.
Since we know that the equivalent resistance in series is greater than the resistance in parallel. So, the first graph is the correct representation of the V-I graph for series and parallel connection.
