The terminals of a cell
come in the combination of '+' and '-'
represent '+' for higher energy while '-' for lower energy.
A cell has two ends, labelled + (positive) and – (negative).
A cell pushes the electric current from the positive terminal round to the negative one. This is the way that conventional current flows. And at the same time, these terminals represent higher energy for '+' electrode while lower energy for '-' electrode respectively. The following symbol represents a cell having '+' and '-' terminal with high energy and low energy respectively.
