Speed of the faster train

$\left(\frac{L_1+L_2}{2}\right)=\left(\frac{T_1+T_2}{T_1{T}_2}\right)=\left(\frac{130+110}{2}\right)\left(\frac{60+3}{60\times 3}\right)$

= 42 m/sec

$\left(\frac{L_1+L_2}{2}\right)\times \left(\frac{T_1-T_2}{T_1{T}_2}\right)$

$=\left(\frac{130+110}{2}\right)\left(\frac{60-3}{60\times 3}\right)=38m/\sec .$
