The correct option is C 450 m
Let the initial distance between the two trains be x.
Distance travelled by train Q in 50 s,
SQ=ut+12at2=20×50+12×1×502=2250 m
Distance travelled by train P in 50 s,
SP=ut=20×50=1000 m
Now SQSP=22501000=1250 m This distance must be equal to the initial distance between the trains plus the sum of the length of the trains.
x+800=1250x=450 m
