The correct option is D 180 sec
At time (t=0), let head of train A is just behind the tail of train B.


At time t=t0 let the head of train B is just behind the tail of train A.


From, the two situations we see that in time t0 relative displacement of train A with train B is
SAB=800+1000=+1800 m

Relative velocity of train A w.r.t train B

VAB=VAVB=+25(+15)

VAB=+10 m/s

As the relative acceleration is zero. So,

Time taken t0=SABVAB=180010

t0=180 seconds.

Hence, option (d) is the correct answer.
