kinetic energy is given by K=12mv2
so m1v21=m2v22 then v1v2=m2m1
let m1 is heavier body.
means heavier body has less magnitude of velocity.
as we know linear momentum is given by P=mv
then P1=m1v1 and P2=m2v2
P1p2=m1v1m2v2 => P1P2=m1m2×m2m1
