When the ladder rests against one pole,it makes angle $32{24}^{\prime }$ with the pole and when it is turned to rest against another pole, it makes angle $32{24}^{\prime }$ with the road. Calculate the width of the road.

$AB=x_1+x_2$

$=30\cos \theta +30\sin \theta$

$=30(\cos {53.73}^0+\sin {53.73}^0)$

Width of road $=41.93m\simeq 42m$
