Solution

The correct option is E None of the above
Aristotle recognized the resemblance in part of bodies among different individuals as being constant from generation to generation. He classified living things into plant, animal and human beings based on their morphological similarities and dissimilarities. Thus, option A is incorrect.
Bentham and Hooker proposed natural classification system for angiosperms and divide them into three groups, dicotyledons, gymnosperms and monocotyledons. The classification was based of natural morphological features like leaf venation, vascular bundles, number of cotyledons etc. Thus, option B is incorrect.
The biological species concept, as first proposed by Mayr, groups the members of the same species organisms that can potentially interbreed to produce fertile offspring. It is the most accepted concept due to its scientific criteria of classification that groups the individuals on the basis of their reproductive isolation which in turn maintain the morphological differences among the reproductively isolated individuals of the same habitat. Thus, option D is incorrect.
Koch was a microbiologist who discovered the causative agents of tuberculosis, anthrax and cholera. Thus, option C is incorrect.
Therefore, the correct answer is option E.
