Bloody Sunday is a name give to the events held on sunday, 22 january. During this event the unarmed demonstrators led by by Father Geogry Gapon were fired upon by the soldiers of the imperial guard as they marched towards the Winter Palace to present a petition to Tsar Nicholas II of Russia. This event was a consequence of Tsarist Autocracy governing Imperial Russia. It showed disregard to ordinary people that undermined the state. The employees were disturbed due to long working hours, low wages and lack of safety precautions. All these reasons led to the Bloody Sunday.
