Solution

The correct option is B coenzyme
Ubiquinone is a coenzyme. It is also called coenzyme Q. It is a mobile carrier of electrons present in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

NADH+H+ and FADH2 produced during the glycolysis and citric acid cycle undergo oxidation and release electrons. These electrons are accepted by the ETC (electron transport chain) present in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

There are four complexes in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Both complex I and complex II transfer the electrons to ubiquinone which gets reduced to QH2. Ubiquinone travels through the membrane and delivers electrons to complex III.

Inhibitors are the substances that obstruct a particular process.

Enzymes are biomolecules that enhance the rate of a chemical reaction.

Hormones are chemical messengers that help in growth and development.
