Solution

Dear student,
The colour in eye is determined by the gene coding for pigmentation of iris. Multiple genes control eye colour in humans therefore it is difficult to tell the sequence of each gene as the genetics of eye colour is complicated. 15 genes are responsible for eye colour. OCA2 and HERC2 are the two genes which mostly controls eye colour. OCA2 gene makes the protein called P protein which is present in melanocytes making melanin pigment and is responsible for different eye colour in human. HERC2 gene affects the function of OCA2 gene and is linked to a mutation which produces blue colour in eyes.
