The afferent arteriole results in the formation of tuft of capillaries called glomerulus. Maximum filtration occurs at the glomerulus. This is called ultrafiltration. The capillaries are narrower than the afferent arteriole, as a result of which the blood pressure at the glomerulus is high. Thus ultrafiltraion occurs due to high pressure of blood flow.
This process does not involve energy molecules. Thus ultrafiltration does not occur due to active transport.
