Ultrasound can be used for which of the following purpose/purposes?
Echocardiography
Ultrasonography
A sound wave which has a frequency of 20,000 Hz or more is called Ultrasound. Ultrasound has various application in different fields. Some of them are:
1. Echocardiography - Echocardiography or echo, is a painless test that uses sound waves(ultrasound) to create moving pictures of your heart.
2. Ultrasonography - It is a technique that uses echoes of ultrasound pulses to delineate objects or areas of different density in the body.
3. SONAR- Sonar is a technique that uses sound propagation to navigate, communicate with or detect objects on or under the surface of the water, such as other vessels.
MRI uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body.
A loudspeaker converts electrical energy to sound energy. It doesn't use ultrasound.
