Uniform electric field $10N/c$ exist in a space direction of electric field is positive x-axis. Find force on following charges placed in this field.
(i) $+2\mu C$
(ii) $-2\mu C$.

Given electric field $E=10N/C$ along positive x-axis.

We have to calculate force on

i) $2\mu C$ ii) $-2\mu C$

Formula used is Force $=$ charge $\times$ electric field

i) Force on $+2\mu C$ charge $=2\times {10}^{-6}\times 10$

$=2\times {10}^{-5}N$ along positive x-axis.

ii) Force on $-2\mu C$ charge $=-2\times {10}^{-6}\times 10$

$=2\times {10}^{-5}N$ along negative x-axis i.e, opposite in a direction to electric field.
