Unit of Peltier coefficient is
Peltier coefficient is the energy absorbed or evolved when a unit current flows across a junction for one second. The symbol π is used and when a current I flows for a time t at the junction, then we represent the heat produced as
W=±πIt
∴ Peltier coefficient π=WIt and is numerically equal to the emf set up at the junctions and the unit is Joule/Couloumb (JC−1). hence option A is correct.
