Use elimination method for solving the following equations:
x+y=3, 3xy=5

Given equations are
x+y=3 ....(1)
and 3xy=5 ....(2)
Add both equations to eliminate y, we get
4x=8
x=2
Substitute this value of x in equation (1),
2+y=3
y=32
y=1
Therefore, the solution is x=2,y=1.
