We know $(x-5)(x-5)=(x-5{)}^2$

Now using identity $(x-y{)}^2=x^2-2xy+y^2$

Here $x=x$ and $y=5$

$(x-5{)}^2=(x{)}^2-2\times x\times 5+(5{)}^2$

$=x^2-10x+25$
