We know that in BODMAS, (B = Bracket), (O = Of), (D = Division), (M = Multiplication), (A = Addition) and (S = Subtract)

So, in $17-3\times 5$, we will first multiply $3$ and $5$ and then subtract the result from $17$

$\therefore 17-3\times 5=17-15$$=2$

Hence, on solving $17-3\times 5$ by BODMAS, we get $2$.
