The correct option is B $y = 3 x + 35$ and $y = 50^{\circ}$
From the figure,
Exterior angle = Sum of interior angles (Using exterior angle Property)
$2 y - x = y - 5 + 2 x + 40$
$2 y - x = 2 x + y + 35$
$y = 3 x + 35$
If $x = 5$
$y = 15 + 35 = 50^{\circ}$
