We know that (a + b + c)² = a² + b² + c² + 2ab + 2bc + 2ac.
Comparing (a + b + 8)² with (a + b + c)² , we get:
a = a, b = b and c = 8
Substituting these in the above formula:
(a + b + 8)² = a² + b² + 8² + 2 × a × b + 2 × b × 8 + 2 × 8 × a
= a² + b² + 64 + 2ab + 16 b + 16a
