Use the letter given in brackets to write the following formulas.

(1) Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × length + 2 × breadth (l for length and b for breadth)
(2) Perimeter of a square = 4 × length of side (a for length of side)
(3) Perimeter of a triangle = Sum of the lengths of the three sides of the triangles (Length of the sides of the triangle a, b, c)
(4) Profit = Selling price − Cost Price (p for profit, s for selling price, c for cost price)

Solution

(1) Perimeter of a rectangle = 2 × l + 2 × b = 2l + 2b = 2(l + b)

(2) Perimeter of a square = 4 × a = 4a

(3) Perimeter of a triangle = a + b + c

(4) p = s – c
