Question

Using Euler's formula, find the number of edges in a polyhedron if the number of faces is 20 and the number of vertices is12.

Open in App
Solution

Then by Euler's formula we have that V−E+F = 2 or E+2 = V+F

V is number of vertices

E is number of edges

F is number of faces

Given F =20 and V =12 We have to find E

E = V+F-2

E = 20+12-2 = 30

Answer : 30
