To find $55\times 20$ by lattice mathod, we need $2\times 2$ rectangular table on which digits of $55$ and $20$ will be arranged as shown in figure below,
Now multiply the digits on the top with the digits on the right of the rectangle one by one

Place the ones digit of product on left and tens digit on right of the diagonal of the respective smaller rectangle as shown in below figure,
Now add the digits along the diagonals as shown in below figure,
Finally the digits from left to bottom in order will give the product as shown in figure below,

Therefore, $55\times 20=1,100$
