Question

Using ruler and compass only, construct the quadrilateral ABCD, having given AB = 5 cm, BC = 2.5 cm, CD = 6 cm, angle BAD = 90 and the diagonal AC = 5.5 cm.

Steps :
(i) draw AB = 5 cm.
(ii) Now draw XAB such that it is 90.
(iii) taking A and B as a ceentre and radus 2.5 cm and 5.5 cm draw arcs cuts off at C.
(iv) Now join BC and AC.
(v) Taking C as a centre and radius 6 cm draw arcs at D on AX.
ABCD is the required quadriateral.
