Open in App
Solution

Step 1: Identification of identity

We need to identify the identity first,

Here ,the question is in the form of (x+a)(x+b) which is equal to x2+(a+b)x+ab

So if we compare the question with the identity we get a=72,b=-32

Step 2 : Applying the formula

(x+72)(x-32)=x2+(72-32)x+[72×(-32)]=x2+(7-32)x-214=x2+42x-214=x2+2x-214

Hence, the product is x2+2x-214.
