Step 1 : Break the given numbers in such numbers in which we can do calculations easily
$(60 + 4.5) \times (100 - 2.5)$
Step 2 : Now open the brackets by multiplying both brackets
$= 60 (100 - 2.5) + 4.5 (100 - 2.5) = 6000 - 150 + 450 - 11.25 = 5850 + 450 - 11.25 = 6300 - 11.25 = 6288.75$
Hence the result is $6288.75$
