$52 \times 53$ can be written as $(50 + 2) (50 + 3)$
We know that, $(x + a) (x + b) = x^{2} + (a + b) x + a b$ ,
Here, $x = 50, a = 2 and b = 3$ .
$∴ (50 + 2) (50 + 3) = (50)^{2} + (2 + 3) \times 50 + 2 \times 3$
$= 2500 + (5 \times 50) + 6 = 2500 + 250 + 6 = 2756$
