Using the VSEPR theory, identify the type of hybridisation and draw the structure of OF2. What is the oxidation states of O and F (without sign)?

Structure of OF2 according to VSEPR theory is is shown in the figure.

The central atom O has 4 electron pairs (2 bond pairs and 2 lone pairs).

Hence, its hybridisation is sp3 and shape is bent shape i.e. V shape.

Oxidation state of O is +2 as each F has its oxidation state as 1.
