Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim have common frontiers with China.
1. Jammu and Kashmir
This northern state of India is mostly located in the Himalayan mountains. It shares a border with Aksai Chin, the Chinese-administered territory, in the east. It also borders Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in the south. It also touches Pakistani-administered territories Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir in the north and west respectively.

2. Himachal Pradesh
The state touches China in the east. It is surrounded by other Indian states like Uttar Pradesh in the south, Uttarakhand in the southeast, Haryana in the southwest, Punjab in the west, and Jammu and Kashmir in the north. The state’s name is itself coined from one of its proficient Sanskrit scholars, Acharya Diwakar Datt Sharma.

3. Uttarakhand
This is one state which is a part of north-central, northern, and central India. It borders China in the north, Nepal in the east, Himachal Pradesh in the north-west and west, Uttar Pradesh in the south, and Haryana in the south-western corner. Due to plenty of pilgrimage centres and Hindu temples there, the state is also referred to as Devabhumi, meaning the land of Gods. On 9 November 2000, it became an independent state of the country.

4. Sikkim
This northeastern state touches China in the north. Sikkim mainly shares a border with other countries and with just 1 state of the country, i.e West Bengal. It borders Nepal in the west and Bhutan in the east. The state is known for its biodiversity. This second smallest state in India is about a third enveloped by the Khangchendzonga National Park.

5. Arunachal Pradesh
This state is the most northeastern one of the country. China and Arunachal Pradesh share a border, which is called McMahon Line. Also, the Republic of China claims a large part of the state.
