Question

V=IR
So, V is directly proportional to I
I=Q/t
So, I is directly proportional to Q
So, V must be directly proportional to Q
But, V=W/Q
That means V is inversely proportional to Q........
How can this be possible?????

Solution

It’s because of the wrong assumptions that you have taken and what you said about the first statement that is V is directly proportional to I is correct.
it’s only because the resistance in that part of the circuit is constant. Then only we can say two varying quantity proportional.
If the multiplying quantity is not a constant like you have said in the third statement the work done per unit charge may not be a constant. Therefore we can say that in every equation we cannot prove proportionality. It can only be done if there are constant terms.
