Question 9 (v)
Which part of the digestive canal is involved in:
(v) formation of faeces ___.

Solution

The part of digestive canal involved in the formation of faeces is the large intestine. The large intestine is wider and shorter than the small intestine. The main function of the large intestine is to absorb water and salts from the undigested food. The remaining waste materials pass into the rectum and form the faecal matter which is then ejected from the body through the anus.
