Vaishali is $24$ years older than Arjun. $10$ years back Vaishali's age was five times the age of Arjun. Find their ages.

Let Vishali's age be $v$ and arjun's age be $a$

$v=a+24$ (1)

$v-10=5(a-10)$

$v-10=5a-50$

$v=5a-40$ (2)

Equating (1) and (2)

$a+24=5a-40$

$64=4a$

$a=16$ (3)

Substituting (3) in (1)

$v=16+24=40$

Viashali's age is 40yrs and Arjun's age is 16 yrs.
