Question

variation is involved in asexual reproduction?

Open in App
Solution

Dear Student,

In Asexual reproduction, only one parent is involved and hence, there is no mixing or shuffling of genes and hence, the offspring has the same version of genes as that of the parent.

So, there is no variation in asexual reproduction and offspring is clone of the parent.
