1)Windmill power plants use giant windmills to produce energy. Windmills are like fans which are rotated by moving air and their rotation is used to produce electricity. So, we see that this activity needs air and should be included in the list.
2)In visiting monuments, air doesn't play any important role. So, this activity should not be in the list.
3)For flying kites, we need moving air called as wind. Without it kites cannot fly. So, this activity will also be enlisted in the list.
4)Reading a book has nothing to do with air. Of course it is based on the atmosphere but practically there is no important usage of air in this activity. So, this should not be on the list.
5)Parachutes slow down the speed of the sky diver as the atmosphere opposes the motion or fall of the diver. Without the atmosphere, there would be nothing to oppose the motion of a diver and the person would hit the ground with great speed and get hurt.
