Solution

The correct option is B pericycle
In addition to primary growth, dicot plants also undergo secondary growth that causes an increase in the girth of the plant body. Lateral meristems help in secondary growth.
Cork cambium and vascular cambium are lateral meristems in plants. Vascular cambium is a meristematic layer that forms new cells which cause an increase in girth of the plant body in the stelar region.

In roots, the cells of the pericycle along with cells present below phloem tissue contribute to the formation of the vascular cambium.

The epidermis is the outermost layer and is made up of parenchymatous cells. In roots, this layer is also called epiblema.

The endodermis of roots has a deposition of suberin on their radial and tangential walls. These are called casparian strips. Suberin is impermeable to water.

Epiblema is the outermost layer of roots and that form root hairs.
