  1. Vegetation that grows on its own without any human assistance is known as natural vegetation.
  2. Natural vegetation is also known as virgin vegetation.
  3. Natural vegetation occurs when a piece of land with fertile soil is left uninterrupted for a long period of time.
  4. Some plant species grow on such fertile soil automatically.
  5. There are five types of natural vegetation: Tropical evergreen forests, Tropical deciduous forests, Tropical thorn forests, Montane forests and Mangrove forests.
  6. Examples of natural vegetation are: bamboo, sal, sandalwood, etc.
