Let, $v_h$ and $v_o$ be the velocities of sound in hydrogen and oxygen respectively.

$m_h$ and $m_o$ be the masses of hydrogen and oxygen respectively.

The speed of sound in gas is inversely proportional to the square root of mass of gas , hence

$v_h\propto \frac{1}{m_h}$ and $v_o\propto \frac{1}{m_o}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{v_h}{v_0}=\sqrt{\frac{m_0}{m_h}}$

$\therefore \frac{v_h}{v_o}=\sqrt{\frac{16}{1}}$

$\therefore \frac{v_h}{v_o}=\frac{4}{1}$
