As per the question, velocity of the boat with respect to river is, Vb=10m/s
and, velocity of the river is, Vr=3m/s
Hence, time taken by the boat to cross the river is given by, t=dVby=36Vbsin37∘=3610sin37∘=366=6s
Now, for drift BC we have total velocity in the direction of river flow as Vtotal=Vbx+Vr=Vbcos37∘+Vr ⟹Vtotal=10cos37∘+3=8+3=11m/s ∴ drift BC=Vtotal×t=11×6=66m
