Find the value of polynomial px=x+5x-7 at x=-5and7:

Defintion:

Any real number 'a' is root or zero of a polynomial px if and only if pa=0.

p-5=-5+5-5-7=0-12=0
p7=7+57-7=120=0

By using the above-mentioned definition, x=-5and7 is a zero of polynomial px=x+5x-7.

Hence, it is verified.
