Solution

Verification of commutative property for multiplication of integers

According to the commutative property of multiplication of integers, for any integers a and b

a×b=b×a

Step 1: Solve L.H.S

a×b=8×(-4)=-32

Step 2: Solve R.H.S

b×a=(-4)×8=-32

STEP 3: Verification of the property

Since, L.H.S =R.H.S

Commutative property for multiplication of integers 8 and (-4) is verified.

Hence, 8×(-4)=(-4)×8.
