Question

Verify whether the following are zeroes of the polynomial, indicated against them: p(x)=x2,x=0

Open in App
Solution

In general, we say that a zero of polynomial p(x) is a number c such that p(c) = 0.

We have,

p(x)=x2,x=0

Putting the value x=0 in the polynomial p(x)=x2, we get
p(0)=02p(0)=0

Hence, x=0 is a zero of the polynomial p(x)=x2.
