∴f(−ml)=1×−ml+m
=−m+m=0
∵f(−ml)=0
Hence, x=−ml, is the zero of f(x)=lx+m, verified.
We know that if f(a)=0; then a is the zero of the polynomial f(x).
∴f(−ml)=1×−ml+m
=−m+m=0
∵f(−ml)=0
Hence, x=−ml, is the zero of f(x)=lx+m, verified.
