The vertex of a quadratic equation of parabola is the highest or the lowest point of the quadratic equation. Following are the steps to find the vertex of the quadratic equation.
$∙$ Make the quadratic equation in the form $y = {ax}^{2} + bx + c$ .
$∙$ Calculate the $x$ value of the vertex using the formula $x = \frac{- b}{2 a}$ . The $x$ coordinate of the vertex is $\frac{- b}{2 a}$ .
$∙$ Substitute the value of $x$ obtained from the above step in the given equation, and solve for $y$ coordinate.
Hence, the value of the vertex and how do we find it is shown above.
