In red light, there is more photosynthesis in comparison to any other light of single colour

This is due to location of both pigment systems (PSI and PSII) in this very region. One is located in short red while the other is in far-red light. Both systems operate in red light (in short in red light PS-II is active while far-red light, PS-I is active).
