Name the gland that secretes vasopressin. What are its two principal actions?

Solution

Vasopressin is secreted by pituitary gland when required. It causes constriction of blood vessels and retains water in blood by inducing reabsorption from the urine that is formed. Hence it regulates blood pressure.
