In anaerobic respiration, the first step in the breakdown of glucose in glycolysis in which net 2 ATP is produced. After glycolysis is completed pyruvic acid is broken down in a process of fermentation which does not produce any molecules of ATP.
so the net ATP molecule produced is 2.
