Blue tongue, foot and mouth disease, rinderpest, rabies are viral diseases caused in animals like cattle, buffalo, etc. Bluetongue disease is a non-contagious, insect-borne, viral disease of ruminants, mainly sheep and less frequently cattle, goats, buffalo, deer, dromedaries, and antelope. It is caused by the Bluetongue virus (BTV). Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a severe, highly contagious viral disease. The FMD virus causes illness in cows, pigs, sheeps, goats, deers, and other animals with divided hooves. It does not affect horses, dogs, or cats. Rinderpest was mainly transmitted by direct contact and by drinking contaminated water in cattle and in large antelopes and deer.
