Solution

The correct option is A Sati
Traditionally, sati was practised by women belonging to certain Brahmin and Royal households. In this a woman was asked to jump into fire after her husband’s death. It was either on her husband’s funeral pyre or some other pit of fire. Several instances of this were seen among the Brahmins of Bengal. Numerous cases among the Rajputs and Marathas prove that a woman immolated herself even if the husband was expected to die in the battle. This was known as Jauhar, and was widely practised by women of royal families to protect their honour incase of defeat in war.
