Yes, Nakul's changed attitude towards life was worthy of appreciation. Nakul had always turned testy on coming across difficult situations in life. Nakul's despair over failing to complete last two questions in Math exam is a proof of his pessimistic outlook in life.

Nakul easily gets upset about situations even when he is unsure of their occurrence. Nakul panics late at night as he believes he has missed writing his name or roll number on his answer sheet and doesn't calm down until Akash takes him to the teacher's room to verify his doubt. Similarly, Nakul is doubtful even of his own abilities. At picnic his comment that it might rain shows that Nakul always looks at negative side of the situation.

Hence, a change in Nakul's attitude brought about by observing Akash's cheerful and positive outlook in life is worthy of appreciation.
